The concept of Quick Reaction Family was conceived by a retired U.S Army Special Forces Sergeant First Class veteran. The QRF program was created to be a beacon of hope for veterans and first responders grappling with mental health disorders. The QRF program helps at-risk veterans and first responders find profound transformation, renewed purpose and strength. Raising mental health awareness is crucial in breaking down the stigma that often prevents individuals from seeking help. By promoting understanding and open conversations, we can create a supportive environment where veterans and first responders feel empowered to access the resources they need. This awareness can lead to earlier interventions, ultimately improving outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for those affected.

Our mission is to provide recreational therapy (RT) to at-risk veterans and first responders to restore and improve their bio-psycho-social functioning capabilities through active therapy and creating meaningful activities to maintain and improve quality of life. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where they can develop a sense of self-worth and purpose. We also strive to help them build resilience and cope with their PTSD, substance abuse disorder and other mental health issues they may have from enduring trauma. Recreational therapy offers numerous benefits for mental health by engaging individuals in activities that promote relaxation, socialization, and personal growth. It provides a constructive outlet for stress and anxiety, helping participants develop coping skills and enhance their emotional resilience. Additionally, recreational therapy fosters a sense of community, encouraging veterans and first responders to connect with others who have faced similar challenges, thereby reducing feelings of isolation.
